KSL 5 Television Unveils Utah's Ugliest Logos and Their Logoworks Makeovers

Utah's Ugliest Logo Goes to MyComputerDealer of St. George

LINDON, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 25, 2005--KSL 5's Morning Show today announced Utah's Ugliest Logo and the five runners-up in the KSL Ugly Logo Redux.

The title of Utah's Ugliest Logo goes to MyComputerDealer of St. George, Utah, whose ugly logo was oftentimes referred to as a bear, a sasquatch or a dog. MyComptuerDealer felt it looked most like a monkey, and the monkey's facelift in the Ugly Logo Redux was unveiled on KSL's Morning Show today. Because the old ugly logo was so memorable, aspects of the former logo were incorporated into the new. (See attached graphics for MyComputerDealer's ugly logo and its makeover.)

The First Runner-Up, or Utah's Second Ugliest Logo, is Jumbo Burgers of Ogden. The new logo came just in time as construction on the new Jumbo Burgers location is under way.

"It was fun helping out these businesses with logo makeovers," said Morgan Lynch, president and CEO of Logoworks. "I think the contest has shown businesses how critical it is to look professional, no matter how small you are, and how nowadays any company can get a professional corporate identity very affordably and quickly."

The Second Runner-Up was Upgrades, Etcetera of Tooele. Behind Upgrades, Etcetera as Third Runner-Up came Millennium Dental of Pleasant Grove. In a tie for Fourth Runner-Up was Artistic Floral & Design of Spanish Fork and InFocus Photography of Clearfield.

Attached are MyComputerDealer's old logo and their logo makeover done by Logoworks. For before and afters of any of the other finalists, please contact Noelle Bates at Logoworks: LogoworksMarketing@hp.com or 801-805-3706.
